Ensuring UV Disinfection Quality

Infection Prevention Technologies provides complete assurance of UV disinfection with an automated system for scheduling, operating, monitoring and documenting UV disinfection treatments.

A wireless handheld controller and the Steri-Trak™ cloud-based UV disinfection management system provides all the communication capabilities a hospital environmental services department will need to ensure UV treatments have been scheduled and completed in appropriate rooms.

Wireless Handheld Controller

Every IPT UV disinfection robot includes an easy-to-use, military-grade handheld controller. The controller enables the user to control the equipment from outside the room being treated and collect treatment data that is then synchronized with the Steri-Trak documentation system.

An optional (no cost) bar code sticker can be applied to door frames and scanned at the time of treatment to provide fast, simple and accurate room tracking.

Unique PIN codes prevent unauthorized use of the devices and provide additional documentation of treatments completed by each operator.

Steri-Trak Disinfection Documentation System

IPT’s cloud-based UV disinfection management system, named Steri-Trak, enables three-way communication between managers using the management system, the environmental services worker utilizing the remote control and the UV robot itself to ensure a seamless, well-documented process.

This web-based management system provides monitoring and reporting by:

  • Treatment
  • Facility - manage multiple sites within a healthcare system
  • Robot device
  • User
  • Room
  • Date range

This fully automated Steri-Trak documentation system enables managers to schedule rooms and workers for disinfection, which is then transmitted to environmental services staff via the handheld controller. Disinfection treatment information also is transmitted directly by the UV robot to the wireless handheld controller, which is then synchronized with the cloud-based management system.

This system ensures that hospitals making the investment in UV disinfection can document completion of treatments, providing the cleanest, safest environment for patients. If is is not documented…it wasn’t done!
